For Valentine's Day two years ago, Joel got me fishbowl with a beta fish and a snail. I decided to put them on the ledge in the kitchen and named them Latte and Decaf since my kitchen is coffee themed (see the paint behind the fishbowl). So, two years later Latte has outlived Decaf I and II and is still kicking (or swimming). I though it would be nice to acknowledge my fishy's birthday--since I didn't have much faith in the little guy hanging around this long. So here's to you Latte--thanks for being a great pet--you never complain when I forget to feed you or don't clean your bowl for months at a time, you never make a mess and you certainly don't whine for food while I'm eating. Hopefully you'll be swimming around for a few more years!
